Neil Landau

Neil Landau is an expert on tv-writing and has been working as a script-consultant for several years. He is an award-winning screenwriter, producer, author, and professor, who created and ran the illustrious MFA in Writing for Television program at UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television for many years; he was recently appointed founding Director of Screenwriting in the new MFA in Film, Television & Digital Media at the University of Georgia.

His bestselling books include The TV Showrunner’s Roadmap (new edition coming out in Fall, 2021), TV Outside the Box, and TV Writing On Demand. His screenwriting credits include the teen cult comedy Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (slated for remake in 2022), The Adventures of Tadeo Jones (Spanish Academy “Goya” Award for best adapted screenplay), Melrose Place, The Magnificent Seven, Doogie Howser, M.D., The Secret World of Alex Mack, and MTV's Undressed. His current projects include the forthcoming animated movies Finnick, Moomios, Tadeo Jones #3, Strings, and the live-action limited series, Patient Zero.
