Rodrigo Matias Perea came forward as an “undercover reporter” in DR’s documentary Underdanmark and documented the illegal conditions to which he and his foreign colleagues were subjected to in the construction industry in Denmark.

Rodrigo Matias Perea was the courageous demolition worker who handled asbestos in order to document the conditions faced by migrant workers in Denmark. At the same time, he wore a hidden microphone and camera and conducted journalism on behalf of DR. His work exposed illegal and dangerous conditions for migrant workers. It was the first time Rodrigo Matias Perea had worked with collaborative journalism and undercover reporting.
