True Crime: I´ll be Gone in the Dark

Everyone wants true crime! Get the chance to meet one of the biggest true crime masters of today Liz Garbus, as she in two episodes will share with you all of her experiences working with the true crime genre for more than a decade.  

Liz Garbus has created, directed and produced numerous true crime series such as HBO’s hit series I’ll Be Gone in the Dark from June 2020, the Oscar-nominated Netflix film What Happened, Miss Simone? And many others. 

At Copenhagen TV Festival she will share with us her work with true crime – all of the many ethical considerations, her working process, learnings and methods.

Furthermore, Garbus will unfold her latest work - the HBO-series ‘I’ll Be Gone in the Dark’ which tells the intertwined stories of the Golden State Killer and Michelle McNamara, the true crime writer who felt she was born to unmask him.
