The South Korean series Squid Game took the world by storm. During the first month, 110 mio viewers had already seen the series. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk and producer and CEO at the South Korean production company Sirene Pictures Ji-Yeon Kim will give us their detailed insights into the creation of Squid Game and how they made the series come alive, the series journey from idéa to contract and the work with season 2.
Squid Game, which started streaming on Netflix on Sept. 17 2021, and focuses on a desperately indebted group of people in South Korea. They're tricked into a deadly tournament, where 456 desperate contestants compete with each other in a mysterious and deadly survival game involving multiple rounds of childhood games to win 45.6 billion won that can pull them out of their misery.
