LOVE IS BLIND - From Strängnäs with love

Love Is Blind has taken the world by storm and is now coming to Denmark. But what does it take to adapt a global phenomenon for a local audience?

At the heart of the European versions of Love Is Blind is Netflix's production hub in Sweden, where several international editions are produced throughout the year. Based in a former ice hockey arena in Strängnäs, the hub is home to the iconic pods where strangers fall in love without ever seeing one another – and soon, where Danish participants will do the same.

As the Danish version joins a growing family of international adaptations, this session explores the creative and production considerations involved in bringing the format to new audiences. What changes from country to country? How do casting, tone and storytelling differ across cultures? And what challenges arise when local versions are produced within the same global production setup?

Featuring clips from different international editions, the session examines how the format is adapted across markets and why dating formats continue to resonate with audiences around the world.
