Natascha Kampusch - A Lifetime in Prison

Natascha Kampusch was kidnapped on the way to school at the age of 10 and held captive in a cellar for more than 8 years. After her liberation in 2006, she began to write her story. In the years that followed, more books and several film productions as well as documentaries were to follow. Since she herself repeatedly comes into the focus of hate on the Internet, she is particularly strong for those affected by cybercrime and hate speech. In 2011, she built the “Natascha Kampusch Children’s Ward” Children’s Hospital in Bulathsinghala, in the south of Sri Lanka, providing care to 50,000 people every year. The welfare of animals is also very important to her, she is a passionate rider and has been supporting animal welfare for years. She currently lives and works in Vienna.
