Richard McKerrow is the CEO and Chief Creative officer of Love Productions which he co-founded with Anna Beattie in October 2004. Before that he was a journalist at The Nation magazine, a Producer/Director for Yorkshire Television, a commissioning editor at Channel 4 and Creative and Managing Director of Maverick TV. He has conceived and executive produced many of Love Productions’ critically acclaimed and award-winning documentaries and television series from The Baby Borrowers, Famous Rich and Homeless, Benefits Street, Make Bradford British, and Muslims Like Us among many others including The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4 and Netflix), The Great British Sewing Bee, and The Great Pottery Throw Down. He oversees Love Productions USA and has produced shows for US networks NBC, CBS, ABC, Roku, OWN, and other networks. Most recently he created and Executive Produced The Piano a brand new series which was Channel 4’s most successful new format in several years and has been commissioned for a further two seasons. He is also a Trustee for the children’s cancer charity Flynne’s Barn.
