Nikolaj Scherfig is a screenwriter and former chairman of Danske Dramatikere. He has written both feature films and TV series and, in the past 15 years, has contributed to the development and writing of Broen I-IV, Heartless, Den Anden Verden, as well as the documentary series Scandinavian Star and Velkommen til frontlinjen, which are also being presented at this year's TV festival.

Nikolaj Scherfig graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 1989 and began his TV series career by writing episodes for Taxa and Rejseholdet for DR, as well as writing the feature film Ørnens Øje.
