Thomas Breinholt returned to TV 2 in 2014 as Head of Programming after several years as a factual/documentary editor at DR1 and DR2. Since 2019, he has served as Head of Factual with responsibility for factual programming and documentaries, and since 2024, as documentary commissioning editor. Thomas has also been elected to the TV 2 board as an employee representative — hence the sharp suit in the photo.

As Head of Programming and Factual, he has led a significant strengthening of investigative journalism at TV 2 with agenda-setting documentaries such as Moskeerne Bag Sløret, Daginstitutioner Bag Facaden, Plejehjem Bag Facaden, and Den Sorte Svane.

He has also been the host and/or developer of several award-winning Danish TV formats. In 2023, he made his debut as an author with the book Kan Man Tænke Sig Rask?
