Tess is a researcher, educator, and consultant, specialized in representation, intersectionality, and inequality. She works at The Center for Gender, Sexuality, and Difference at Copenhagen University and takes on occasional consultancy with clients across the creative industries, private companies, and NGOs. Tess studies inequality and representation on both a product-, workplace-, and industry-level, with an eye for gender, sexuality, racialization, class, disability, age, and more. She is a leading Danish expert on representation in film and media, and her research has been published in international academic journals and books, including 'Women in the International Film Industry: Policy, Practice & Power' and 'Black Film British Cinema'.
