Bridget Thoreson is an engagement strategist at Hearken, a firm that offers ways for media companies to deepen relationships with their audiences through public-powered journalism. She has worked with 40 newsrooms in the U.S. and abroad, including six UK teams for the BBC, on their audience engagement strategies. She spent seven years as a reporter and editor at a daily newspaper in the U.S. before transitioning to audience development at a national magazine publisher. She is based in the Chicago area.
