Daniel Bogado is a British-Paraguayan producer and director of sevral award-winning documentaries. He's also the former series editor of Unreported World, Channel 4’s critically-acclaimed series and Britain’s longest running foreign affairs strand. Some highlights of his career include in 2012 gaining access inside the conflict zone of the Nuba mountains and securing evidence which exposed a campaign by the Sudanese government to kill thousands of civilians through aerial bombardment and forced starvation. The resulting documentary “Terror in Sudan” won the Rory Peck award,  an award uniquely dedicated to filmmakers working in conflict zones.

In 2014, he filmed ”Nigeria’s Hidden War” for Channel 4 and PBS which revealed that in its fight against Boko Haram the government of Nigeria was engaged in a brutal campaign of retaliatory and indiscriminate violence towards civilians. The documentary won several awards, including an Emmy. Daniel's most recent project was as Series Director of “Killer Ratings”, a 7-part true crime series for Netflix which tells the astonishing story of Wallace Souza, a Brazilian television presenter who was accused of ordering the murders he reported on. This was the first original documentary series produced in a foreign language by Netflix and has become a big word of mouth hit in Brazil.
