Race Across the World
Showrunner and executive producer

The multi-award winning showrunner and executive producer, Mark Saben, will be a guest speaker for a session at this year’s Copenhagen TV Festival to talk about Race Across the World, BBC’s biggest factual entertainment launch since 2016.

Mark got the taste for launching big ambitious series with the Peabody Award winning series 1900 House and Emmy nominated Frontier House. Over seven series he progressed from Producer/Director to showrunner on The Apprentice, overseeing the most successful series to date collecting RTS, Broadcast, Televisual, BPG, MGEITF, Rose D’or awards and several BAFTA & NTA nominations along the way.

As an Executive Producer Mark was part of the successful launch of The Voice UK, with the Blind Auditions topping out at 12 million. He also oversaw the long running Channel 4 series Child Genius, and Grierson nominated documentary series Births, Deaths & Marriages.
