Dan McGolpin is the BBC’s Director of iPlayer and Channels, leading the strategic direction, operations and finances for the streaming service as well as for the TV channel portfolio (BBC One, Two, Three, and Four).
In 2025, he led a BBC Group strategy for YouTube bringing together teams in BBC Content, BBC News and BBC Studios and has been overseeing its roll out this year with the launch of 50+ new BBC YouTube channels across the Group.
Since the start of 2026, BBC iPlayer has been the fastest growing streaming service in the UK, surpassing 100m viewing hours per week on a regular basis. The BBC’s YouTube viewing for under 25s is up more than 30% year on year.
