Maja Jul Larsen is the creator and head writer of the acclaimed family drama Cry Wolf (Ulven Kommer, DR, 2020), which earned her the Nordic Film & TV Fund Prize, a Robert Award, a TVPRIS, the THIS Series Award for Best Danish TV Series, the THIS Series Award for Best Screenplay, and the Golden Eye for Best Drama at the Zurich Film Festival.

She has also written episodes of the Danish television series Borgen, The Legacy (Arvingerne), and Follow the Money (Bedrag), and co-wrote Mads Brügger’s documentary film The Ambassador.

Most recently, Maja Jul Larsen created The Best Families (De bedste familier), an adaptation of Kim Blæsbjerg’s bestselling novel, which will premiere on DR1 in 2027.

Maja Jul Larsen graduated from the Screenwriting Programme at the National Film School of Denmark in 2007.
